The gardens on this tour – all designed, installed and maintained by Janet Moyer Landscaping – have been created as venues for families to enjoy as extensions of their homes. These garden “rooms” highlight a multitude of features that families with urban gardens seek: play areas for children, incorporating edible plants and veggie growing areas when possible, and, of course, beauty.
While the tour focuses on gardens that please families, each one is unique and contains interesting ideas adaptable to other types of gardens. Attendees will observe pathways through fragrance, habitats for birds and butterflies, and restful retreats. Plants were chosen throughout for low maintenance and year-round attractiveness. All gardens utilize smart irrigation controllers to maximize low water usage. The highest priority of a Janet Moyer designed landscape is twofold: sustainability and beauty without effort.
