Saturday April 17th and Sunday April 18th
Besides spectacular and rugged scenery among ancient rock pinnacles, spring provides an extravaganza of colorful wildflowers tucked among gray pines, oaks, and rocks. Expect to see lupines, poppies, wild onions, woolly blue-curls, bush poppies, larkspurs, golden pincushion flowers, and much more.
We'll stay in a motel in Hollister and drive into the monument on Saturday and Sunday. Our perusal of flowers will take us on moderate to semi-strenuous hikes through riparian forest, chaparral, oak/pine woodlands, and more.
DATES: Saturday April 17th and Sunday April 18th, meeting in Hollister Saturday morning at 8:30 sharp. We'll finish at the Pinnacles on Sunday around 2 pm. We suggest driving down to Hollister Friday evening.
