Gabrielle Fladd

Gabrielle Fladd is a ecological designer for Rana Creek’s Living Architecture department. She leads a team of designers, environmental engineers and ecologists working on multi-faceted projects in a diverse range of project scales and scopes. Her work focuses on the reintroduction of vegetated systems into highly urbanized areas to regenerate urban ecosystems, providing habitat for wildlife and diverse and healthy environments for people. She is currently managing her departments work on a handful ecological design projects including a 5-acre living roof in downtown San Francisco for the Transbay Terminal and an integrated building water system for a corporate headquarters in Monterrey, Mexico. She is a LEED accredited professional and an ARCSA (American Rainwater Catchment Systems Association) Rainwater Catchment Systems Accredited Professional. She has taught community workshops focused on rainwater catchment, treatment and reuse strategies, living roof construction, integration of vegetation into building systems and other ecological design principles. She has also been involved in mentoring programs working to inspire young adults who are interested in becoming involved in careers in the Green Building Industry.
