Susan Handjian

Susan Handjian is a Garden Consultant who has been a professional gardener, a vocational counselor and, until her retirement in 2010, a Water Conservation Representative for East Bay Municipal Utility District. She is one of the authors of the EBMUD book Plants and Landscapes for Summer-Dry Climates and along with Christine Finch received the 2005 California Horticultural Society Annual Award for their contributions to water-wise gardening. She teaches and gives workshops about a variety of topics related to sustainable gardening throughout the Bay Area. Susan lives, works, and gardens happily in the Richmond Annex.
