Edwin Hamilton

Artist Bio Edwin Hamilton began his career as a stonemason and sculptor in 1984. His pursuit of an apprenticeship led him to Europe where he deepened his knowledge of the art of traditional stonemasonry. His masonry company, Edwin Hamilton Stoneworks, has completed numerous residential and public projects for noted architects, including Thierry Despont, Mickey Muennig, and Walker/Warner Architects. Public art projects include the Library Terrace Garden at the San Francisco Botanical Garden, the Huntington Botanical Gardens in Pasadena, CA, and the Rhododendron Pavilion at the San Francisco Botanical Garden. His sculpture exhibits include the Sonoma Museum of Visual Arts (2002), Ochi Gallery in Sun Valley, Idaho and a solo exhibit of sculpture at the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art (2005-06).. Current projects include working as the artist on the design team for the renovation of Courthouse Square in Santa Rosa, CA. and a sculpture for Allegheny Square in Pittsburgh, PA.
