Thursday, May 11; 5:00PM-7:00PM Join us in the Helen Crocker Russell Library for an artist reception to celebrate Janny Xiaoqin and her Chinese brush paintings. Exquisite Blooms showcases 35 of Janny Xiaoqin Huang's original Chinese brush paintings, including portraits of poppies, magnolias, peonies, and other flowers found in San Francisco Botanical Garden, Golden Gate Park, and Filoli. A native of Nanjing, China, Huang graduated from the Jiangsu Academy of Traditional Chinese Painting and has been working in San Francisco as a professional painter and teacher since 1989. |
