In celebration of Pollinator's Week, join us in the Native Garden stone circle for an array of honey flavors and textures harvested by local beekeeper Robert Mackimmie from City Bees, a guided pollinator's garden tour, and a discussion of Urban Beekeeping. Join the SF Beekeeper's Association on beeswax candle making demos as well as other bee related crafts.

More about City Bees
City Bees™ got started in 1996 with four sustainable, long-term goals:
-Assist threatened bee populations with recent health challenges.
-Pollinate regionally by disseminating local bee populations.
-Enhance lives by providing colony co-habitation in city backyard gardens.
-Create unique and distinctive honeys from select neighborhoods and historic locations in San Francisco and the Bay Area.
More about the SF Beekeeper's Association
Aside from our monthly meetings and our participation or sponsorship of other honey bee related events, SFBA can refer you to members who offer honey bee related services. These include honey bee swarm removal, educational presentations to school and community groups, and extraction of honey bee colonies from within structures. The Association was established in 1976 and has continued to teach and promote responsible urban beekeeping. |
