Are you interested inlearning about the fantastic medicinal plants that grow at the Botanical Gardens and all around us in the Bay Area? Join ethnobotanist Jolie Lonner Egert for a fun-filled garden stroll and herbal medicine making class and learn how to make herbal oils and salves. We’ll discuss how to identify plants and what distinguishes our medicinals plants from their poisonous cousins. On this short walk we will delve into the stories of the plants and immerse ourselves into medicine, ecology, botany and mythology. Together we will make a healing herbal salve that you can take home.
