San Francisco State Greenhouse Manager Martin Grantham invites you to participate in the adventure of gardening with plants from South Africa! For the past 12 years, Martin has been researching plants in South Africa's Western Cape, learning how to grow them in California, both as container plants and in native soils. In this lively presentation he will show off a selection of the most beautiful, unusual and best performing South African plants. He will share such important information as true optimum growing environments, full tolerance ranges for cold, drought, and soil chemistry to help you successfully grow these amazing plants in your garden. There will be plants on display and for sale, including some new to cultivation.
