South African Plants for California Gardens (212-172)
with Martin Grantham, SF State Greenhouse Manager

Saturday, February 25 10:00am - 12:30pm

Martin Grantham presents a selection of the most beautiful, unusual and best-performing South African plants and invites you to participate in the adventure of discovering new plants for your California Garden.

For 12 years, Martin has been researching plants in the Western Cape of South Africa and learning how to grow them in California, both as container plants and in native soils. Gain valuable insight on his methods to achieve the optimum growing environment for these plants. He'll share important information like tolerance ranges for cold, drought, and soil chemistry.

There will be plants on display and for sale, including some new to cultivation.
