Saturday, March 24th
8:00am - 7:00pm
This workshop is the core class for Photo Botanic Garden Workshop, the new Ebook for Garden Photography by Saxon Holt.
San Francisco Botanical Garden continues the full day Master Photography Workshop. Renowned garden photographer and SFBG Photography Program Director, Saxon Holt will lead this intensive all day workshop.
This workshop will be limited to 10 participants and will be very interactive with personal instruction from Saxon. The session will begin with a tour of the Botanical Garden, studying locations in the Garden with visualization exercises.
Following this tour, there will be a presentation on understanding what we are seeing, telling a story, and thinking like a camera. During the afternoon session, Saxon will speak on topics ranging from the basics of digital photography to editing your photos, including workflow and post-production. Following this presentation, participants will be receiving a photographic assignment within the Garden with hands on assistance.
Upon completion of the assignment in the Garden after normal closing time, Saxon will critique images on-line from each participant. If you’re interested in garden photography and want to enhance your skills, this is your opportunity. |
