AUTUMN LEAVES IN COLORED PENCIL with Nina Antze (213-196)
Learn to create autumn rich reds, browns and purples

Thursday, November 3rd 10:am - 3:pm

Autumn is the perfect time to explore colored pencil techniques with all the beauty of the changing leaf colors, seedpods, gourds and berries. Their unique colors provide the opportunity to practice mixing and layering color. Learn to create rich reds, browns and purples. We will explore a variety of colored pencil techniques including burnishing, layering and impressed line. I will provide leaves and other natural materials to draw or you may bring in your own beauties.
If weather permits, we will lunch outside and try to experience some nature first hand.
All drawing levels are welcome.
A supply list will be provided.
Please bring lunch.

Nina Antze is a botanical artist and quilt maker living in Sonoma County. She has a degree in Fine Art from San Francisco State University and has a Certificate in Botanical Illustration from the New York Botanical Gardens. Her quilts have won numerous awards and her botanical paintings have been exhibited in New York and at Filoli Gardens and the Huntington Library, She works in colored pencil, graphite and fabric.
