A Special Walk in the Exotic South Africa Garden with Joanne Taylor (207-150)

Sunday, November 6, 1pm - 2:30pm

THIS SPECIAL WALK IN THE EXOTIC SOUTH AFRICA GARDEN W/Joanne Taylor IS POSTPONED...WILL BE RE-SCHEDULED!

People travel to South Africa to see the animals, but it is also a land that is home to a wonderful and diverse flora.

Come take a walk in the San Francisco Botanical Garden, led by Docent Joanne Taylor, who has made several trips to see the plants growing in their native habitat and will share her immense knowledge of these plants with you.

You may be surprised to find out just how many plants from that part of the world are growing in California gardens. They are not all well behaved.

With its Mediterranean climate, the Cape Province, the area around Cape Town,is perhaps best known, but South Africa also has desert regions, with their own unique flora, and San Francisco Botanical Garden has many representatives of these plants you can see and learn about.
