September... Summer comes to an end and then the Season of Fall begins... the time of the Autumnal Equinox (once known in the pagan 'wheel of the year' as one of the 'cross-quarter' holidays), the halfway mark between the Summer and Winter Solstices.

From the beginning of time humans have been sustained by the plants and substances that the earth has provided for food and healing.  And, in return, they have honored and celebrated in many ways to give thanks.  In this class we will discuss the healthful and healing powers of herbs. The last portion of the class we will prepare a handful of herbal preparations for use as food, medicine, bathing, celebrations, and rituals. We will also have herbs for sale, courtesy of Cole Canyon Farm and Nursery.
