Poetry, Drinks and Cupcakes in the Garden (216-750)
with Poet Jill Lurie

Sat, Aug 14, 1:30pm--3:00pm

THIS GARDEN-THEMED POETRY READING TAKES PLACE IN OUR DEMONSTRATION GARDEN WITH FOOD, FUN AND DRINKS.

Please join us for a special event to delight your senses. Our magnificent garden will serve as a backdrop for a garden-themed poetry reading, which will culminate in sweet treats and refreshments. In Jill Lurie’s first collection of poetry, "Ginger Roots, Plantings of a Future Dreamer" (Beehive Press) she shows us she is not afraid to get her hands dirty. With the garden as her muse, many of the verses explore real-life and often-raw experiences of love, loss and longing. The San Francisco Botanical Garden is an idyllic setting for a reading of these nature-inspired poems.
