Late Winter Sustainable Garden Tour (246-430)
with Karen Boness, Kenwood Permaculture and Willow Landscape Design

Join us on a trip to Kenwood Permaculture in Kenwood, California for an in depth look at a living, breathing permaculture garden. This garden tour and lecture will introduce you to the principles and design concepts of this rapidly growing sustainable gardening movement. After just a few years this site has been transformed from a dry, thistle-infested slope into a richly productive and verdant garden.

You'll be immersed in the colors and aromas of food forests, habitat ponds, keyhole annual veggie beds, a rooftop herb garden, and a grape-draped gazebo. You'll learn how to think with a
"permaculture mind" and transform your yard into a garden of incredible abundance. This workshop includes a one and one-half hour lecture and slide show followed by a 2-hour garden tour, where you can see permaculture in action. The tour also includes a brief sheet-mulching demonstration.

Space is limited, so please sign up early. Bring lunch!
