Oh Deer! Coping With Bambi in the Garden (212-1200)
A special presentation at the Western Hills Nursery in Sonoma County

Sat, Oct 17, 10:00am--1:30pm

Yes, it IS possible to garden in deer country; but first, you'd better find out how to deal with those wily antlered creatures. Bob Hornback (who manages to live with deer every day in his wooded garden) will show you tried-and-true techniques -- including plant selection, repellents and protective barriers -- that will help your garden coexist peacefully with Bambi and his friends and relatives. Bob will be speaking in the garden of his neighbor, the Western Hills Nursery of Occidental. This will be an exciting opportunity to visit a world-class plant collection and to see for yourself how a beautiful garden can thrive in deer country. (We will be touring the garden after the lecture and you may purchase plants if you wish.)

Please bring a $5.00 donation for Western Hills Nursery!
