The Geranium Family (212-355)

Sat, May 23, 9:00am--12:00pm

Learn everything you always wanted to know about Geraniums and Pelargoniums (but were afraid to ask.)

Robin Parer, an avid gardener and owner of the Geraniaceae Nursery in Marin County, has cultivated hundreds of hybrids, selected color forms, and true species in the Geranium family for many years. A native Australian who arrived in California many years ago, Robin is known across the state as "the geranium lady." Her expertise covers both Pelargoniums (gardeners call them geraniums) and the hardy Geraniums (cranesbills). At this workshop, Robin will discuss the newest and best hybrids and wax poetic on the virtues of scented leaf pelargoniums, angel and pansy face pelargoniums, and true geraniums. Don't miss the opportunity to learn more about these beautiful plants from a passionate expert.
