A Mother's Day Tour of the ScharffenBerger Chocolate Factory (212-164)

Sun, May 11, 1:30pm

Bring your mother on a fantastic ScharffenBerger Chocolate Factory tour in the East Bay - no golden tickets required!.

Join a master chocolatier, from ScharffenBerger Chocolate for this hands-on, taste-as-you-learn class. This is NOT the regular ScharffenBerger factory tour, but a private one-of-a-kind tour only for SF Botanical Garden Society members and friends. Theobroma cacao or "Food of the Gods" is the botanical source of one of the worlds most indulgent pleasures: chocolate. We will enjoy varietal chocolate sourced from organic farms throughout the tropics and we will also learn how to distinguish between varieties of cocoa beans and taste the range of products made from them.

Transportation: carpooling encouraged.
