Expanding on knowledge of medicinal plants students will create scientifically accurate drawings in various media. The class will use a variety of techniques to render plants in ways both correct and aesthetically pleasing. The techniques are applicable to quick sketches in the field as well as creating detailed drawings in the studio. Classes will provide supportive critique of student work as well as well as time to work on drawings.

All levels are welcome.

$10 materials fee payable to instructor at beginning of first class.

This class can be bundled with J. Charmain Giuliani's morning class.

The morning course (course 213-165) will focus on both common and unusual medicines and the source plants growing right in SFBG, explaining horticultural care as well as fascinating extraction methods and specific uses.

These classes have been specifically designed to be taken together, complimenting and enhancing each other.
