Wildflowers of the High Sierra - TRIP FULL (241-231)

Friday, July 27 through Monday, July 30

There is nothing quite as beautiful as the high Sierran country in summer-meadows full of wildflowers, crystalline lakes, rugged peaks, and beautiful forests. Our field trip will take us into the high east side of the Sierra to two outstanding areas: Bishop Creek and Long Lake, and Rock Creek Canyon. Both are located near the town of Bishop. We'll learn about the varied conifers and diverse wildflowers on our sojourn.

ACCOMMODATIONS: Motel 6 in Bishop (1-800-4motel6)
MEALS: Breakfasts and dinners out; bring lunch on the hikes
ITINERARY: Meet Friday evening for dinner and to plan hikes; Saturday, all-day hike to Long Lake; Sunday, all-day hike up Rock Creek; Monday, stops in Yosemite National Park on the way home.

Price does not include accommodations or transportation.
