Swiss Dreams and Sharffen Berger Chocolates (212-841)

Wed, Dec 6, 7:00pm--9:00pm

Join plant experts Dr. Glenn Keator and Dr. Greti Sequin for an astounding journey through images and stories to a little known area of the Swiss Alps - the Engadin. This is one of the most remote areas of Europe, where ancient villages, superb flora and wonderful landscapes are seldom seen by the outside world. Alpine plants are not the only treasures for which Switzerland is known. Chocolate, made right here in California using old world methods will be presented by Brad Kintzer of Sharffen Berger Chocolate to round out the experience. Brad will talk about the history and the cultural differences in the manufacturing of chocolate and will demonstrate the different grades and preparations of chocolate in a participatory tasting.
