A tree is a long-term investment. Trees provide structure, scale, color, texture, and overhead shade. Each tree has its own character. Selecting the best one for your situation requires careful consideration. Emphasis will be on trees adapted to low rainfall and dry summers and includes choices for street trees as well as urban gardens.
